We have started our veg growing for the year! Last week, Emilia decorated two Egg Heads, and then planted them with cress seeds. One week later, this is the result!

This is a brilliant rainy day activity to do with children, even in mid-winter. Next up is carrot seed sowing in toilet rolls. Yep. (You can read about how to do both of these activities on a post I wrote for Avant Homes here.)

Get growing with your kids! It’s great fun, and you never know, they may well eat a few more veggies as a result. (It worked with Emilia, she’ll now eat carrots whenever we give them to her. Huzzah. Peas, however, are another matter.)
