UPDATED INFO: This store has now closed, but the business still operates online and at fairs.
Rebecca Jade’s Vintage opened in Horsforth last year. It’s like stepping back in time when you enter the beautifully designed shop. It covers items from the 1940s through to the 1980s, so whatever era you’re into, you’re bound to find what you’re after. If you’re looking for a real one of a kind item for an event, this is the place to go to.
The shop is a haven of beautiful vintage clothes and accessories, with every corner crammed full with items that are hard to find elsewhere. There are so many stunning things to look at, and such intricate, artistic displays, I didn’t know where to look first. There are hats, fascinators, jewellery, gloves, shoes, cigarette cases and bags, and there rails and rails of beautiful outfits.
It’s a store with a difference though. Every month Rebecca holds a late night opening, treating shoppers to complimentary bubbly and cupcakes whilst they browse the delights on offer. It’s a great event; such a relaxed, friendly and fun way to shop and try on the gorgeous garments that are for sale.
There are vintage hair styling and makeup classes held at the store, as well as an introduction to sewing course. Keep an eye out on the website or Facebook page for details of upcoming dates.
On Sunday 7th July, Rebecca Jade’s Vintage is hosting a Summer Tea-Party and Fayre in aid of St Gemma’s Hospice. There’ll be live music, vintage and craft stalls, and even activities for little ones. Get the date in your diary! I might wear a hat.
Rebecca Jade’s Vintage is a business that is run with style and joy. It’s not just about price labels on clothes – it’s a celebration of all things vintage and it brings people together to enjoy the party.
